Luna New Year

Universally recognized as the largest Lunar New Year Celebration in America, the 40th annual Asian American Expo is slated to take place in 2021 across multiple planned events. The first event is scheduled for January 16th & 17th – Virtually.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and need for social distancing, we will be ringing in the new Lunar Calendar Year online. This two-day digital event will keep with the annual festivities through traditional performances, sponsor engagements, raffle giveaways, and more!

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month presented by South Coast Plaza, Asian American Expo 2021 Virtual welcomes everyone to join us in promoting Asian diversity and unification. With the StopAsianHate a major nightly news topic, the Asian American Expo has an even greater purpose to unify the different Asian groups.

Each year, May is the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, it is a month-long event recognizing the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture and achievements in the American society.

Mid Autumn Festiveal

Capping off Asian American Expo's successful 2021 run of Virtual events from January's Lunar New Year festivities to May's Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage gala; Asian American Expo proudly presents its final Virtual Event of the Year - the Mid Autumn (Moon Festival) celebration to continue the goal of promoting Asian diversity and unification.

This traditional event is the second most important holiday after Lunar New Year with a history dating back over 3,000 years. Come for the moon cakes, stay for the performances and don't forget to enter your name in the Lucky Raffle Drawing.
